Byens Tak

Byens Tak is Oslo's new meeting place for architecture and urban culture, situated atop the Folketeater building at Youngstorget. Here, you can attend unique events, enjoy a glass during sunset with good friends, or rent the space for a special occasion. Byens Tak was initiated and renovated by Rodeo Architects, and is operated in collaboration with Fuglen.

The Folketeater building is a commercial and office building spanning 12 floors with facades facing Youngstorget and Storgata. The building was designed by architects Christian Morgenstierne and Arne Eide. The renovation focused on preserving the unique character and qualities of the building and its spaces. The same attention was given to the furnishing concept, which combines classic, modern, and custom-made furniture from Nordic designers and craftsmen.
