Uni David-Andersen
1930Uni David-Andersen was born into a family of goldsmiths. In 1954 she established a small jewellery studio connected to the family firm David-Andersen. With Unn Tangerud, Marianne Berg, Liv Solnær Rogan and others, she designed some of the most outstanding jewellery pieces of the era. In 1962 the studio experienced a commercial boost through the Troll jewellery series. Designed by all of the studio colleagues, the Troll works were produced in large numbers and became international hits. They were made in silver and featured minerals of Norwegian origin such as amazonite, thulite and labradorite. Another popular series, Sølv, was launched in 1966. Instead of using minerals, several of the pieces in the series made use of translucent enamel. The unique visual idiom of these pieces is a defining feature of the Uni David-Andersen workshop.
1930年生まれのユニ・ダヴィッド・アンデルセンは、家族が経営していた会社の敷地内に、59年小さな ジュエリーショップを開きます。ユンニ・タンゲルード、マリアン・ベルグ、リヴ・ソルナー・ローガンらととも に、この時代の代表的なジュエリーデザインを手が けます。62年、アトリエのメンバー全員でデザインし、大量生産にも対応したジュエリーシリーズ〈Troll〉が 国 際 的 に大ヒット。〈 Troll〉は 、アマゾナイト、チューライト、ラブラドライトといったノルウェー原産の天 然石と銀を組み合わせたものでした。6 年には人気シリーズ 〈Sølv〉を発表。天然石の代わりに、鏡面エナメルを使う など、ニ・ダヴィッド・アンデルセンは非常に個性的な作 品づくりに取り組みました。
