Edvin Helseth is known for his diverse system furniture. The cabinet and drawer system Module 5-15 (1960) is built with a 15 centimetre standard. The depths of the cabinets and shelves are 15, 30, 45 and 60 centimetres, and the length of the shelf plans extends from 15 to 225 centimetres. In the early 1960s Helseth developed Trybo, a furniture system adapted to a new type of vacation cabin called Trysil. The furniture, fixtures and solid sections in the Trysil cabin were based on the plank size 2. x 5 cm, which was the standard sorting dimension at the local sawmill in the village of Trysil. In his career as a designer, Helseth has found that rational planning is vital for the simple production and distribution of products.
