Fura is a modern cabin inspired by traditional Norwegian building techniques. Its rational design, openness between indoor and outdoor spaces, and use of natural surfaces create a cozy and harmonious atmosphere.


Products and materials are chosen based on a holistic assessment of quality, durability, resource footprint, and potential for reuse. The cabins at Budor are furnished with a mix of new and classic Norwegian design pieces, alongside custom-made furniture from local artisans and locally sourced materials.

The furniture concept for Fura was developed in collaboration with architects Einar Jarmund & Co and developers Løiten Allmenning.

フーラの家具コンセプトは、建築家のアイナー・ヤルムンド氏と開発者のLøiten Allmenningとの共同作業によって作成されました。

Fura

The new Tradition Pendant, from Norwegian design duo Morten & Jonas is a contemporary take on a time-honoured craft. This distinct and decorative design with its finely knitted shade will create a beautiful atmosphere, complement your décor, and enhance your experience of home. Made from off-white polyester tube, the shade is carefully stretched over its white metal frame before being fastened at the top and bottom. Available in three shapes, ‘Small’, ‘Tall’ and ‘Large Oval’, the power cable is also concealed within a clean silk cord. Hang the Tradition Pendant Lamp singularly over a bed, dining table or sofa to give a room a cosy feeling or cluster them together for maximum impact even when turned off.

Dokka is a small light with a big history. Designed in 1954, it was the first lamp from Norway to receive a Golden Medal award at the prestigious Triennale di Milano. Acclaimed for its smooth contours, precise proportions and sleek handling of materials, Dokka had the potential to become a design classic from day one. It became one of the best-selling pendant lamps ever produced in Norway, then disappeared when the previous manufacturer discontinued their lighting range.


In 2007, Northern re-launched Dokka, taking care to preserve the features that made it a design classic. Today, the lamp is expertly crafted in steel or brass, and made to last. The light is available in a range of colours: black, dark grey, white, light yellow, rust red, dark green, warm beige, brushed steel and brushed brass. An icon of its time, Dokka is uniquely contemporary, and is destined to become a future antique.

Dokka

Birdy is a table, wall and floor lamp series designed in 1952, in a modernist style. The lamp series was produced and sold by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico (Oslo) for many years. In 1954 the table lamp, then known as “s-30016” was awarded the highly esteemed Golden Medal at the Milan Triennale.

In 2013 Northern decided to re-launch this design classic, taking care to preserve the original shape and highly functional features that at first made it such a well–loved light. The lamp series is available in white, grey or black colour with steel finish and black coloured shade with black or brass metal finish.

Birdy is also available as a floor lamp and wall lamp with short or long arm.
