Many generations of skilled glass blowers have shaped Magnor Glassverk’s history since it was founded in 1896. Today Magnor produces a wide variety of free-blown and mold-blown glass products, including an ever-growing series of wine glasses and artistic glasswork.
Magnor’s focus has always been on combining the craft of glassblowing with interesting design. To that end, its glassblowers have a longstanding tradition of collaborating with designers and have positioned themselves at the forefront of the development of new glassblowing techniques. For over a century, Magnor Glassverk has blended an unparalleled historical knowledge of glass as a material with a forward-looking eye for excellence in design.
Magnor Glassworks is still in operation and produces tableware, vases and other art objects in glass. The company has manufactured glassware designed by Norwegian fashion designer Per Spook and Norwegian painter and artist Vebjørn Sand. It is currently collaborating with contemporary designers such as Kristine Melvær Five, Kristine Bjaaland, Øyvind Wyller and Andreas Engesvik.
