Nesjestranda Møbelfabrikk was founded in 1935 by the brothers Nils and Oddmund Nesje on the Nesje homestead outside Molde. In the beginning it was produced to order, everything from bedrooms and kitchen tables to skis and stools.

In 1952, a collaboration was started with the design office Bruksbo. This was the start of a long and close collaboration with interior architect and furniture designer Torbjørn Afdal.

Today Nesje is known for its production of designer furniture at home and abroad as well as the delivery of special production for several of the country's most prestigious furnishing assignments in the high-end market. Through this, Nesje has built up a unique expertise in constantly solving new projects. Today, you will find specially produced furniture from Nesje at the Parliament, the new National Museum, Innovation Norway's new premises, in restaurants, courtrooms, banks, libraries, schools, embassies and a wide range of other businesses as well as private homes and cottages.
